Professor Lauri Koskela leads a research group developing theory-based lean project and production management. Before being nominated Professor at the University of Salford in January 2004, Dr. Koskela worked almost 25 years at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. His research interest is mainly focused on the theoretical foundations of project and production management. He is a founding member of the International Group for Lean Construction.
